Reach

✋Notice something of interest in your immediate space, softly hold your attention on it throughout this practice.

Step 1: Shape

  • Notice the shape your body is in while you take in this interesting object, person, place, or scene.

Step 2: Reach for the object, person, place, or scene.

  • Reach with only your eyes

  • Reach only with your head

  • Reach with your hands

  • Reach with all of the above

Step 3: Reflect

  • What was the quality of your reach with your eyes, head, hands, and all together?

  • Did you feel relaxed in your practice, or was there some amount of anxiety around accessing the thing holding your interest?

  • How might you apply this practice moving forward?

  • How might you bring in support of community to access what you desire with a sense of softness, curiosity, or playfulness?
