Hello, Friend.

I am so glad you’re here, even if you are feeling a bit burnt out.

You’re in the right place if you’re a care professional or self-identified helper feeling disconnected and just plain exhausted from giving.

Maybe you’re starting to feel like a bit of a misfit in your relationships or purpose, which affects your self-trust and ability to be present with others (#socialanxiety).

Either way, if you’re looking to remember who you are and reconnect to the magic I know you bring to the world, I’d love to help.

Here, we go deep with a light heart, so you can continue to access your own wisdom on how to move forward long after our work together.

The world of health and wellness is wild.

  • I’m sure you’ve experienced the media constantly telling you about a new thing that you need to “fix” in order to heal (“underwhelmed vagus nerve? great, I’ll add it to the list”)

  • It’s also likely that you’ve worked really hard in talk therapy, and you know you’re close to a shift, but you aren’t sure how to integrate this into your role as a healer, partner, friend, etc.

  • Or you crave deeply attuned personalized care and attention, that doesn’t shy away from the political nightmare we are living in (and how it affects us), but still you continue to receive general, bypassing advice that doesn’t work for you at all - leaving you feeling unseen, unheard, and honestly a little bit shamed (ugh)

This is where a body-centered approach comes in.

As a veteran, caregiver, seasoned health & wellness professional, and someone who generally feels like a *misfit in modern healing spaces, I know how hard it is to find a groove that feels easy.

(feeling like a *misfit because I’m queer, neurodivergent, in a bigger body, and honestly a lil weirdo)

I have learned that depending on outside answers to finding belonging only leads to something that feels like an endless walk around the woods without trail markers - which is only sometimes fun.

There was a point in my life where I expected other health and wellness professionals to tell me what could be “fixed” and how to remedy my “discrepencies” (ouch), which left me even more exhausted and disconnected.

I researched and tried so many tools, techniques and methods. (I too attempted to stimulate my vagus nerve back online)

Not to mention, I’m a health and wellness professional my-self, so why couldn’t I figure me out?? (don’t you wish we came with a users manual?)

It wasn’t until I worked with a practitioner that centered my own intuition and connection to body did I finally realize I had MY answers with me, the whole time (re: users manual).

Don’t get me wrong, my healing journey didn’t end after my new found clarity (I’m not even sure that’s a thing in the world we live in), but it did lead me to the understanding that I was abandoning my-self to find connection and feel whole.

Oof.

I had some re-orienting to do, to say the least.

So, who am I to help you?

  • I am a trauma-informed somatic practitioner, licensed bodyworker, and therapeutic movement guide with nearly 20 years of experience in health care

  • After a period of my own personal burnout, I created an entire offering based on my needs that included who I worked with and how

  • I have supported hundreds of helpers in their process by helping them build a deeper relationship with their bodies and intuition that inevitably leads them back to their own magic

  • I bring a down-to-earth approach to body-centered healing that really supports looking at the big and scary feelings we hide from ourselves, like shame

  • I want every individual I work with to find resolution and accommodations around trauma response patterns, build practices that foster connection with body, and live life knowing a sense of ease and belonging

Let me tell you what IS possible with a body-based practice.

  • I am now a resourced practitioner who has the capacity to hold people in their integrity without shying away from big emotional experiences that might have previously been mutually activating

  • I can recover connection to myself and others by relating to what is present in the moment, noticing what my needs are, and resourcing accordingly - instead of avoiding discomfort with self-abandonment

  • I feel a stronger sense of self-agency that empowers not only myself but the people I work with, in the interest of integrity

  • I have access to my own clear intuition and a method of communication that supports deeper attunement with my clients

  • and best for last - I have access to my own creativity that helps me develop offerings centered on my vitality as a provider

On a personal note…

  • I am a virgo rising, leo moon, and gemini sun. I give care through counsel, comedy, and considerate affirmation -which I think helps a lot when talking about deep and heavy topics like trauma.

  • I am the oldest of 5 children, aka: a seasoned helper and pseudo parent primed for caregiver burnout! 🙃

  • In the not-so-distant past, I spent 6 years in the desert of Las Vegas, Nevada, while serving in the U.S. Air Force as a dental technician.

  • I am a homebody. I much prefer a barefoot porch hang, over a crowded space, any day, and am most comfy at home with my wife and fur babes.

  • I found my spirit in the garden, and I *need to get my hands dirty on a regular basis to connect with my inner wild parts.

Through my ever evolving practice, I strive to consistently develop and provide quality offerings for those I have the privilege of communing with.

I stand behind anti-oppressive care practices that prioritize the experience and empowerment of the individual within the systems, with the acknowledgment that we are products of and affected by the well-being of our environment.

Here, we acknowledge the cyclical nature of the changing seasons and adapt actions accordingly with the interest of living in harmony.

As we are not made of segmented parts, I consider all aspects of the individual, including mind, heart, body, and spirit.

My offerings are trauma-informed and focused through a biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual lens.

When we work together, all of who you are is welcome.
