Biweekly virtual classes for people who want to build a somatic practice from the comfort of their own home.

Join me in a virtual space  to take care of your earth body through mindful practices that are responsive to the season at hand.

If you experience chronic pain, limited movement, and/or general body tension this class was designed with you in mind.

Hello Friends!

My name is Rachel (they/she), and I am so excited to have you here!

As a licensed massage therapist, somatic practitioner, and therapeutic movement guide I have been teaching some version of this class for over 7 years now.

I love this offering, as it provides everyone a chance to access every single element I apply in my 1:1 work (seriously, we do all of it), but in a group setting.

I have found this class to be incredibly supportive to those who:

  • want to explore this somatic stuff on their own

  • want to get to know me, before 1:1 work

  • are not able to join a group IRL

  • who need help in keeping up with their personal practice, because man-o-man routine is really hard!

  • & of course - people who want to simply move their body in ways that just feel good

  • “A class full of fun, approachable, supported movements! I love how Rachel keeps things slow and low, which encourages me to pay deeper attention to my body’s signals.”

  • “I really, really loved this class! I found that spending time exploring movement each week with Rachel’s guidance and group support has helped prioritize doing the same in my daily self-care practice. I’ve learned some effective resources that I’ll be able to take with me moving forward. I also really appreciated how accessible, fun and down to earth this class felt!”

  • “Rachel teaches in a playful, relaxed, and supportive way. As a yoga teacher myself it was refreshing to step into the role of student and have someone hold space for me to tend to my body’s needs with warmth and non-judgement”

  • “Rachel creates a welcoming atmosphere that encourages self exploration. They use gentle guidance, humor, and approachable explanations of the body’s mechanics to help clients feel more at home in their own bodies. Their approach integrates multiple modalities and skillsets, with a focus on myofascial work – the tissues that connect all systems in the body – and a flexibility that can accommodate a client’s changing needs. Working with Rachel has helped ease my chronic pain and I can’t recommend their work highly enough!”

What are these classes all about?

With focus on sensation and experience, there will be invitation to connect with self through gentle bodywork, exploratory shapes/postures, and meditative movement among other somatic practices aimed at supporting the individual through a body based practice.

Throughout each class you will be encouraged to listen to your body and adapt your participation when needed. This method of learning centers choice, relationship to body, and self trust. This means, you are welcome to take care in a way that meets your needs in each moment. This can look like resting, stepping out of the room, turning off your camera, or engaging with a different part of the practice that feels more accessible.

Each class is inspired by:

  • Somatic movement concepts

  • Functional and developmental movement patterns

  • Bodywork methods rooted in fascial health and neural connection

  • Seasonal cycles and cosmic timing

How do I join?

Step 3: enjoy biweekly classes!

Class Break Down

  • I’ll open with class details and intention with invitation for questions

  • Once everyone feels clear on the structure, I’ll start recording the class

  • Next we can move to doing a grounding exercise

  • After this settling practice, I’ll teach gentle bodywork techniques

  • Following bodywork, I’ll invite slow and low movements

  • At this point, I’ll end the recording

  • Finally, we finish class with questions or shared experiences (no pressure to share, you are welcome to hang or head out)

Join one, two or all parts of class with the understanding that I want everyone to take what they want from our time together and I LOVE to see people just taking care doin their own thing :)

Honestly, I’ve had people join, do a few movements and take a nap. 😴

Come as you are and do what feels good.

FAQs

  • In many ways it might be very similar to other classes, but I like to highlight that you will have the option to ask questions before and after class.

Plus my class is an amalgamation of so many concepts in one, its not just movement and myofasical work its also fascial science, developmental patterns, interwoven somatic concepts, seasonal practices, and curious focus on the current astrology that might affect our energy.

If you require specific adaptations for bodywork, movement, or other parts of practice - please let me know ahead of time so I can prepare specific options for you.

Otherwise, I generally offer many options for each part of practice.
